Volume
Indicators that analyze trading volume to confirm price movements and identify the strength of trends, accumulation, and distribution patterns in crypto markets.
7 conditions of this category are available in the strategy builder and to the agent. Each one lists the operators it accepts and what it can be compared with. How conditions work is explained in Indicators and conditions.
Volume
Trading volume in selected timeframe. Best for: Close orders confirmation & validation. Use with: Money Flow Index (14), On Balance Volume, Volume Weighted Moving Average (20). Guide: Volume > 1000000 for above-average activity confirmation, Volume spikes often precede significant price moves.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: a number, On Balance Volume, Accumulation/Distribution Line, Money Flow Index (14), Volume Oscillator (12, 26), Simple Moving Average (20), Exponential Moving Average (20), Exponential Moving Average (200), Volume Weighted Moving Average (20), Average True Range (14), Bollinger Bands Upper (20, 2), Bollinger Bands Lower (20, 2)
- Examples:
VOLUME > 1000000: Above-average activity;Volume spikes precede significant price moves
On Balance Volume
Volume flow indicator tracking buying/selling pressure, calculated as a rolling sum over the last 20 bars. Best for: Entry orders & Close orders accumulation confirmation & distribution detection. Use with: Volume, Money Flow Index (14), Accumulation/Distribution Line. Guide: On Balance Volume > 0 indicates net buying pressure, rising On Balance Volume confirms accumulation trends.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: Volume, Close Price, Exponential Moving Average (20), Exponential Moving Average (200), Simple Moving Average (20), MACD Line (12, 26, 9), Relative Strength Index (14)
- Examples:
OBV increasing AND CLOSE increasing: Healthy uptrend;OBV decreasing while CLOSE increasing: Bearish divergence;OBV crossAbove 0: Bullish volume shift
Accumulation/Distribution Line
Money flow accumulation/distribution indicator calculated over a rolling window of the last 20 bars. Best for: Entry orders & Close orders smart money tracking & institutional flow analysis. Use with: On Balance Volume, Money Flow Index (14). Guide: Accumulation/Distribution Line > 0 indicates accumulation, divergence with price suggests potential reversal.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: On Balance Volume, Money Flow Index (14), Volume, Close Price
- Examples:
ACCUMULATIONDISTRIBUTION > CLOSE: Accumulation;Divergence with price suggests reversal
Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10)
Accumulation/Distribution momentum oscillator. Best for: Entry orders & Close orders buying/selling pressure detection & momentum changes. Use with: Accumulation/Distribution Line, Money Flow Index (14). Guide: Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10) > 0 indicates buying pressure, Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10) crossAbove 0 generates bullish signals.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: a number, Accumulation/Distribution Line, Money Flow Index (14), Volume
- Typical levels: bullish 0, bearish 0
- Examples:
ADOSC > 0: Buying pressure;ADOSC crossAbove 0: Bullish signal
Volume Oscillator (12, 26)
Volume momentum comparison between short and long period averages. Best for: Entry orders & Close orders volume confirmation & divergence detection. Use with: Volume, On Balance Volume. Guide: Volume Oscillator (12, 26) > 0 indicates above-average volume, confirms breakouts and trend strength.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: a number, Volume, On Balance Volume, Money Flow Index (14)
- Typical levels: bullish 0, bearish 0
- Examples:
VOLUMEOSCILLATOR > 0: Above-average volume;Confirms breakouts and trend strength
Klinger Oscillator (34, 55, 13)
Long-term money flow oscillator combining price and volume. Best for: Entry orders & Close orders major trend changes & institutional positioning analysis. Use with: Klinger Signal (13), On Balance Volume, Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10). Guide: Klinger Oscillator (34, 55, 13) crossAbove Klinger Signal (13) indicates bullish reversal, crossAbove 0 indicates bullish momentum, identifies major accumulation/distribution cycles.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: a number, Klinger Signal (13), On Balance Volume, Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10), Volume
- Typical levels: bullish 0, bearish 0
- Examples:
KLINGEROSCILLATOR crossAbove KLINGEROSCILLATOR_SIGNAL: Bullish reversal;KLINGEROSCILLATOR crossAbove 0: Bullish momentum;Identifies major accumulation/distribution cycles
Klinger Signal (13)
13-period EMA of Klinger Volume Oscillator used for trend reversal confirmation. Best for: Entry orders & Close orders crossover signals with KVO & reversal detection. Use with: Klinger Oscillator (34, 55, 13), On Balance Volume, Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10). Guide: Klinger Oscillator (34, 55, 13) crossAbove Klinger Signal (13) bullish reversal, Klinger Signal (13) > 0 signal in bullish territory.
- Operators: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal, Not Equal, Cross Above, Cross Below
- Compare with: a number, Klinger Oscillator (34, 55, 13), On Balance Volume, Chaikin A/D Oscillator (3, 10), Volume
- Typical levels: neutral 0
