How to ask the agent
How to phrase tasks so the agent gets them right the first time, with example prompts for each kind of task.
You can write to the agent the way you would write to a colleague. There is no special syntax. The more precise the request, the fewer questions the agent has to ask and the closer the first draft is to what you wanted.
What to include
For anything that touches money, say these things:
- Amount: "100 USDT", or "0.01 BTC".
- Pair: "BTC/USDT", not just "Bitcoin" if you trade several quote currencies.
- Account: which exchange or the demo account, if you have more than one.
- Market: spot or futures. On futures add the leverage and the margin mode if you care.
- Take profit and stop loss: as a distance in percent from the entry. If you want both but do not know the levels, say so, and the agent sets them from the pair's volatility.
If something is missing, the agent asks. For small details it uses defaults, for example isolated margin and 1x leverage on futures, so read the card before you approve.
Buy 0.01 BTC on spot with a 4% take profit and a 2% stop loss
Example prompts by task
| Task | Example |
|---|---|
| Market | "Show the ETH daily chart with support and resistance levels" |
| News | "Why did SOL drop today?" |
| Trade | "Open a long on ETH futures, 200 USDT, 5x, stop loss 3%, take profit in three equal steps up to 9%" |
| Manage a trade | "Add 50 USDT to my open BTC trade" or "Close my ETH trade by market" |
| Bot | "Build a bot that buys BTC when RSI is below 30 on the 1-hour chart and takes profit at 3%" |
| Alert bot | "Prepare a bot for my TradingView alerts on ETH, 100 USDT per deal" |
| Backtest | "Backtest this bot on BTC for the last year" |
| Portfolio | "Show my balances" or "What is my win rate this month?" |
| Help | "What does this error mean?" and paste the text |
| Plan | "How many bots can I still start?" |
Clarifying questions
The agent asks when a missing detail changes the result, for example which account to use or whether you mean spot or futures. Answer briefly and it continues from where it stopped. You do not need to repeat the original request.
Attach a screenshot
You can attach images to a message: a chart from another platform, or an error message. See Images and voice.
Continue, start new, find old
- Continue. Keep writing in the same chat. The agent remembers what was said earlier in it, so "make the stop loss tighter" or "do the same for ETH" works. In long chats, Show earlier messages loads the older part.
- Start a new chat. Press New chat in the sidebar when the topic changes. A clean chat is easier for the agent to follow.
- Find an old one. Earlier conversations are in the Recent list in the sidebar. Open a row to continue it.
- Rename or delete. Each row has a menu with Rename and Delete. Delete asks for confirmation.
Tips
If the agent's answer is not what you meant, say what to change instead of starting over: "same, but on 4-hour candles" or "use 100 USDT, not 200".
- Ask for a backtest before you start a bot, and for a draft before you place a trade. Both are free of risk.
- Check the mode before you ask. The agent sees only the current mode, demo or real, so if you mean the other one, switch the toggle first. See Demo trading.
- The agent never places anything on its own. After a prompt, look for the confirmation card.
